Plex on MAC M1 plays everything in fast forward

Since today my Macbook Pro M1 MAX plays everything too fast. Media from the server, free movies from Plex (e.g. Labyrinth 1986) and teasers, advertisements etc…

Same with app.plex.tv: everything plays too fast.

Tried uninstall and delete application support folder for Plex. After reinstall same behavior.

[Edit] this happens only when an external HDMI monitor is connected, regardless whether I use an HDMI-cable on the built-in connector or a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

My Macbook Pro Intel plays everything normal with the same version. [Edit] with or without an external HDMI monitor.
