Buffering Problem

Server Version#: 1.2.0.2.3370
Player Version#: Amazon player, latest update as of 09-20-2020

Recently updated both my Plex Server and Plex app on Amazon Fire - about 2 weeks ago. Ever since then I am getting ongoing buffer problems and messages saying my network is not strong enough. Regardless of file type or size. Getting similar buffering probs on the web player also, though not quite as often.

Nothing else has changed, my desktop is same, home network is same (and quite good mesh network), only the media server and Amazon app updates. Searched the forums and can’t seem to find a resolution other than optimizing the files, which I tried and does not seem to help.

Appreciate some other advice, thanks.

Plex notoriously doesn’t work well using the official firetv app. I use the official plex kodi addon

I am experiencing the same behavior but only with Live TV playback and recorded live tv playback.

On the Firestick 4K there is an option to turn off Transcode interlaced Live TV in advanced settings. Maybe this should be added to mobile devices?

Bump. Plex, still no solution to this problem! Hasn’t been an issue until the last one or two Fire TV Plex updates, so It’s in the coding somewhere… please look into it, would hate to leave Plex for another platform.
