Attached are the logs, I was most recently experiencing the issue on 12/9/21 between 7-7:30pm EST.
There is constant buffering no matter what quality settings I use. I’ve tried limiting to 720p still constantly buffering. The firestick is connected wifi however speed tests show well over a 400mbps upload and 100mbps download.
A laptop with plex player sitting right next to the fire stick is getting perfect quality/no buffering on the same settings. It is obviously a fire stick issue and not the network. From what I read Plex has largely been ignoring these live tv buffering issues and it seems to not be fixed in the latest version of the Fire TV App or the latest version of PMS.
@tom80H i see you’re active in the forum, why not help out the people with constant buffering in live tv? there’s plenty of us complaining about it and it seems to be largely ignored…
I’m pretty much fully unaware / clueless when it comes to Live TV (in general or specific to Android client issues)… so I’ll be of little help myself but also don’t know who could jump on that topic / who might know more about it.
Absolutely experiencing the same issue regarding live tv OTA on plex, using a new firestick 4k, bbc channels itv channels channel 4, all seem to want to transcode, causing constant orange buffering circle every second or so, however other channels are playing fine.
My OLD firestick plays perfectly, what is it about the 4k stick that forces a transcode?
I have even set up a new server on a less than year old laptop to see if that was the problem, but the buffering persists.
I have altered as many settings as are humanly possible, but none create a fix.
The only way i can get it to play is if i manually set the quality so low, and there seems little point to that…
Please, anyone from Plex, is there at least an answer as to why this issue is occuring?
