When Im trying to watch 4K movies it starts to buffering which is very annyoing and I think it shouldn’t buffer since I have a monster computer…
The CPU goes up to 100 % very often when im watching at TrueHD 7.1 audio and when I change audio from TrueHD 7.1 to AC3 5.1 my CPU works at 1-10 %.
BUT then it starts to buffer MUCH more then it does at TRUEHD 7.1…
I mean when I watch at TRUEHD 7.1 I can watch the whole movie with just some buffers but with AC3 5.1 I have to sit and wait for the buffering almost all the time…
I have tried with wired and wireless internet connection and there is no difference.
Can a NVIDIA Shield be a solution for this if there is no other fix?
I am watching the movies on this tv: 55 LED -TV Philips 55PUS8503/12 UHD Smart
And I have the plex media server on this computer:

I downloaded the plex app. I didn’t even know there was one in the TV and haven’t seen that one either. Maybe it was the wireless connection after all. I tried with cable now again and it seems to work right now atleast.
I am using the plex app that I downloaded on my android TV? Or what do you mean? And it still dosen’t work
This app have so ■■■■■■■ many nice things that can make this app to the number 1 in the world for sure. But what I still dosen’t understand is that there is never any fixes for all this laggning ■■■■. And they always blame everything else then the app xD
I thought that I typed in the topic what I am using to play the 4K file? I have the files on this : WD My Book Duo 20TB and that is connected to the computer I typed about at the start of that thread!
And I have the plex media server on that computer to and I am trying to watch through the plex app on my 4K smart tv. .
I am going to try to copy over the 4K file to my SSD on the computer instead and see if that’s a problem.
After like 1 hour of loads of buffering into Mad Max furyroad 4K it stopped to buffer completely for like 15-30 mins and then it started again and kept going…
I don’t understand how it could go from buffering almost all the time to ZERO buffering for 15-30 mins.
And I tried to unplugg my external WD My Book Duo 20TB but it didn’t make any difference of the result.
So now im out of ideas, so please someone help meeeee.
I want this app to work so ■■■■■■■ bad…
I am using windows 10 bought version and I don’t really know what you mean with Running in a VM, Docker etc? Im not really that good on this things so explain little more what you mean with that please!
Plex server and WD NAS both on wired 1 gbps ethernet?
I am using wire to both the PMS computer and the 4K smart TV and I got 1000/1000 mbit internet. Or did you mean something else?
This is the version of the smart tv I use: 7.16.1.10610
I selected AC3 audio and disabled subs and then it worked with no bufferings at all. But how can I see if it Direct play for both video and audio? I can only see player: ExoPlayer V2 and resolution: 3840x2160 and under that it just says: Direct Play in the top left corner.
And now when I tried with subtitle that I have added by myself as a srt file it starts to buffer… But it still says Direct Play in the top left corner…
