This kinda odd for me anyways.
So I’m trying to watch the movie 65, but this applies to any 4K movie that needs transcoding I’ve seen.
So I start playing the movie and it Immediately starts buffering if not a few mins after.
Looking at Plex dashboard and it says transcoding at 0.84x at original quality.
I’m using a NVIDIA SHIELD Pro.
The odd thing is if I look at my CPU utilization it’s showing at most 40-50%.
I’m on a i7-13700k and a RTX 3070(I play games when not using Plex) running Windows 11.
Everything is fully up to date with nothing running in the background when watching said movies. Was on release now on beta all same issue from the start.
I have Plex pass with hardware acceleration enabled, I’ve tried with HDR tone mapping on and off. Movie is listed in Plex 4K HEVC, Plex is reporting it as 4K DoVi/HDR10 (HEVC Main 10).
Tried connecting directly to ethernet with the shield link speed at 1000Mbps with same issue.
I also have a 3gen Apple TV and well it’s liking my Plex a lot more and it says throttled at 150Mbps.
