Hey, so I’ve got a movie in 4K, and it played alright in the lounge on webOS for nearly the first hour, but then it started buffing to no end and it just spoiled my movie night, and I’m just confused what’s causing it, like I tried removing other movies I’ve got that are taking space, but it was still doing it, so what’s doing it?! It’s not the first time it’s done it and I’m just sick of this!
Are you also buffing on 1080p or just 4k?
The reason why you might be buffing on 4k is that the data rate on those scenes are a lot higher and either your connection or the tv can’t process those scenes fast enough. Also if you’re transcoding it would be another thing to look into. I suggest you fast forward the movie a bit to see if you’re buffing again.
Another possibility why you’re buffing is because the file itself is corrupted on that part of the video and either the plex-server or the plex-client is having a hard time processing the corrupt data.
