Bug? Airplay to AppleTV 3 from Plex 7.24.1 ios not working

Server Version#: 1.24.4.5081
Player Version#: 7.24.1

Movies play in app on iPhone ios version 15.1 without any problems.
When I try to airplay to AppleTV 3 I get “An error occurred loading this content” every time.
I can airplay from YouTube and other apps on the iPhone.

Workaround:
It is possible to activate “Screen Mirroring” on the iPhone and then play my movie in the Plex app. The question is why I have to do this workaround when the app obviously has a feature for airplay.

The iOS/tvOS Plex devs don’t seem to have any real interest in actually supporting native features on the platforms. AirPlay, Spatial Audio, Picture in Picture, native player UI and controls, dynamically generated thumbnails while scrubbing… I’m sure I missed one.
