This happens mostly when I watch shows in my continue watching list that don’t have another episode on my appleTV.
When you watch a show and let it finish. It will sit at a screen with the remaining items in the continue watching list. If you don’t do anything for say 15-30 minutes (like if you got up and walked away etc) it will freeze in that screen. Now it doesn’t freeze where you can’t do anything, it just won’t let you leave that screen. Your only options are to play what it shows you from the continue watching list, or close the app completely and restart it.
I can replicate it almost daily. I added my server logs, but it doesn’t do it on any other player but the appleTV.
