I’ve been fighting with this for months now. Auto-tagging not working at all. I’ve recreated the server and library so many times that I’ve lost count. I only have about 5,000 photos and it’s saying that I have over 90,000 items according to the logs? One of the main reasons I chose Plex over Emby was for this feature and it’s completely broken. I’ve seen other posts and it doesn’t seem like there is any support on this.
Why is it impossible to get any feedback on this? There’s obviously something really wrong with it and there’s zero support it seems.
With Google ending unlimited photo storage I was hoping to invest in my home server but as far as I can tell, Auto Tagging is broken. And the 1000 photo limit will really restrict customers who want to come over from Google Photos who have their 1000’s of photos already tagged there…
It will take almost 3 years to auto tag my photos at this rate. Hopefully we get some news on this feature soon!
That’s assuming it works at all. I’m looking at 7 1/2 years before it would even potentially BEGIN tagging mine. Seriously, come on Plex. HELP ME.
