I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it’s just going to take time for these new features to take full effect or if it’s just me…
When I’m discovering for new content and I click on something that I know is in my library it will sometimes show me that it is in my library as well as w/e streaming services but other times it will only show me where it’s streaming and not that it’s in my library but if I then type that title into search it shows that it’s in my library…
From what I read, this has to do with making sure you are using the Plex Scanner and Agents.
And making sure the tv show and films have been matched, metadata have been found. Then you will be able to add that film or tv show to the Add to Watchlist.
Anything that hasn’t been identified won’t appear as part of your library in the Discover section.
So I have around 1800 series in my collection and most of them have matches minus a few one-offs that plex cant find. But I just noticed at least 2 matches that were incorrect that I know for a fact previous to this update the matches were correct. My wife also noticed the other day that it said there was a bunch of “new” content added that we have had in there for years or “new” episodes for shows from several years ago…so I’m not sure what happened but I think I’m gonna be taking a week to go through my whole server and check things. But I will say I fixed those two matches and now they come up in Discover as in my library.
