I’ve been a Plex server admin for 10 years, mobile application user for as long as it’s been available.
issue: the newly revamped mobile application consistently fails when playing back media when the phone is locked. To reproduce it, simply play a movie or TV show from the Plex mobile application on android and lock your phone. the media will continue to play for about 30 seconds and then freeze. when you unlock your screen you get an error in the Plex app.
before the application update the process was a little different, you would play the media, lock your screen, swipe down in android and click play again and it would play perfectly through the entire movie/TV show. Since the application has been updated when you play the movie/TV show from Plex and lock the screen it continues to play without the need for the above extra steps, however, it fails with an error after 30 seconds every time.
I use this feature every night. This is a major fail.
