I have my plex for iOS configured not to auto play the next episode. On the old app for iOS it would finish the episode then return to the menu silently before allowing the device to go to sleep. This is how it should be.
The new app finishes the episode then goes back to the menus and plays the episode again but only the audio. It keeps the page for the episode up in the foreground and plays the episode audio over and over on loop.

Same happens to me. Not only the app doesn’t stop playing the audio, it is the screen that never turns off wasting battery for no reason. This bug is super annoying.
Same thing happens to me. I play a movie and fall asleep to it. Before, it would just play one movie and then put my phone to sleep. After the new app, it plays the same movie repeatedly. I have woken up to the movie playing both video and audio, draining my battery. In my activity, it would show the movie being played twice in one night.
I tried reproducing this problem while I was awake by fast-forwarding the movie to the end in order to see if it would repeat. It doesn’t! Instead, at the end of the movie, it brings me to the “Just Played” screen and stays there, not turning off the phone (my phone is set to dim and turn off after 60 seconds when inactive). So, I am baffled because it has been 3 nights in a row that this problem occurred.
*Update: After bringing me to the “Just Played” screen, it turned off my phone after about 10 minutes.
