Episodes are no longer being marked as new/unwatched with the orange corner indicator at the top right of the series or movie cover art. This seems to be limited to just the Samsung TV app as my Roku and web players all display the unwatched indicators on the same content without issue.
By design. Plex is now using a watched indicator instead of unwatched indicator. Look for a green (?) circle in one of the upper corners of watched movies/episodes.

Thank you for that. Now that I know what to look for, I can indeed see the green checkmark. Where can I provide input on this change? I have two questions / statements related to this:
The checkmark is very small, and green is a common color for background posters. It’s not even noticeable unless you know what to look for.
Why is this specific to the samsung tizen app and not a standardized rollout? I’d expect to see a GUI feature update to go through the global web app first, at the very least.
IMO, keep the corner indicator, make it green, add the transparent checkmark inside.
It is not. It is also on other Smart TV apps such as LG.
It will be rolled out to others over time.
