In the “Seasons” option in “Library Edit > Advanced”, the option to choose “Hide seasons for single season shows” is replaced with “Library default” which I assume is a bug. “Library default” is an option for show specific changes, not whole library.
I really hope this gets fixed soon, as the majority of my media collection is single-season shows, and it makes for an unpleasant UX to have to needlessly click through another UI layer on every show.
As a note, Episode Sorting has the same “Library default” option, which, as mentioned by the OP, makes no sense in the context of a Library option - these options exist to set the defaults for the library, and without setting them, the “Library default” it refers to does not exist.
Does anyone know where the files containing the library settings are stored, and if it is possible to manually edit them to restore the “Hide seasons for single season shows” functionality, at least until the issue is properly fixed?
Same here - I also went hunting through the various Plex-related files and folders on my machine, and came up empty. My guess is the individual library config settings are stored in non-human-readable format.
I suppose we’ll just have to wait for the official fix.
Thanks for the confirmation, both that the change was unintentional, and that it is being looked into.
After reading some posts regarding the Android TV version of PMP having issues with this particular feature, I was afraid it might have been intentionally disabled for the time being, and am relieved to hear that is not the case.
Again, I appreciate your taking the time to keep us informed; when we hear nothing, we users have a bad habit of assuming the worst, and, as a newly-minted lifetime Plex-Pass holder, seeing this level of communication reaffirms my decision in making that investment
