There is an option in the TV Show library to either hide seasons or hide seasons for single season shows. I have two TV libraries. This function works fine for one and does not work at all for the other. I have no idea why. Any ideas?
Scratch that. It isn’t working for either of them now.
For single episode TV shows that do not have seasons. (IE, a single episode documentary etc) you must put it into a Movie Type Library or Plex will Skip It.
That is not what I am after. If there is a TV show that has multiple episodes in one season, there is a setting on the server that allows you to skip the season folders and go straight to the episode list. That is what I am talking about.
is this in any player app including web app? so you are seeing the season poster? what version of server are you running? ( please do not say “the latest” )
I am using version Version 1.5.5.3634 running on Windows. The web app is the one place where Hide Seasons does work. I’ve tried the Windows 10 app, the Roku app and OpenPHT. It doesn’t work on any of them. It used to work. I used that setting with TV shows for a long time.

If you used it, it was not in Plex.
This is a brand new feature. The only app where it is already implemented is the web app.
Weird. I could have sworn I had that functioning a few months ago. So the web client is currently the only place that works? Bummer. It would have solved a real problem for me.
I was just told that the Android and the iOS app have the feature already.
The other apps will learn it in time, I think.
yes both the Win 10 and Roku app will get it at some point but i do not have any ETA. OpenPHT is not made by us so not sure if that will ever get it.

I know OpenPHT is an open source product that you don’t support, which is why I tried the other two. Its funny. I was absolutely sure I had this working in the past. It must have been on the mobile client. The reason I’ve been fighting with it is that I finally found a decent solution to the music video problem so many people (including me) have been complaining about. I’ll post about it later when I finish with all the details, but it works really well with the exception of this one thing.
