I’m trying to put this show on Plex. It’s called “MAKE: television” (per official site ) but TheTVDB styles it as “Make:” (no “television”). I’ve tried every combination I can think of to manually “Match” the show, searching for “make”, “make:”, “make television”, etc., and it never shows up in search.
If it’s not possible to convince the agent to show me this series for matching, is that a bug in the agent?
Can you try an ID search?
Fix Incorrect Match - then when searching TheTVDB put in the TheTVDB’s ID - for Make: it’s 84476
If that works - then good - if not then we’ll need to get some logs from the matching process - so let’s try this first.

I’ve just been asked - can you also post here the filepath and filenames of the video - so that we can test to see if we can reproduce this.
I don’t have that show but wanted to try it myself (to help the devs). In the directory I store my TV Shows in I created a new directory called “MAKE- television”. In that directory I created a sub-directory called “1. Staffel” and in that directory I placed a media file PMS has NEVER seen before called “MAKE- television.S01E01.foobar.avi”.

Full Path: C:\Videos\Serien\MAKE- television\1. Staffel\MAKE- television.S01E01.foobar.avi
Auto Match does not work. I started Manual Match and searched for various variants of “make television”. No year was entered and the languages I tried were German (standard) as well as English. Every time I only got “NOVA” from 1974 (TVDB ID 76119) listed.
At last I simply searched for the correct TVDB ID (84476) with language German and I got a single result; the correct Show.
Problem: After the item was correctly matched and Plex was idle I “Fixed Incorrect Match”. Plex automatically searched but just found NOVA again. Search Options showed the pre-filled form. Title is “Make:”, Year is “2009” and Language is “German”. If you search now you find plenty of wrong stuff and … yes … NOVA 
If you now search again but with Year being empty, Plex finds one Match. Make: from 2009 with a Score of 94.
I have no idea why I didn’t get notified about these answers but you’re absolutely right, plugging the TVDB ID of the show into “Title” in the Match dialog definitely sorted it. It sounds like the issue is that the automatic match breaks down when the show name ends with a colon (which, I mean, who does that?!?).
If any of the team happen to read this, maybe the docs could be updated to indicate that you can put the TVDB ID # in the Match box if all else fails? I never would have thought to try it, and it would have saved me a fair amount of time.
