Bug in Camera Upload, not uploading images

Server Version#: 4.47.3
Player Version#: 8.11.0.22186

I’m trying to setup Camera Upload on my phone, but it seems to be only uploading video files and not any image files. It isn’t giving any error as far as I can tell. I selected a Library meant for Photos as upload destination and an existing album in it. Only the 7 videos I had on my phone are uploaded, but the other 105 photos aren’t.

I also noticed that in the notification area of Android you can see little thumbnails of it going through all the photos. But the counter in the app isn’t increasing, it’s stuck at 102 remaining and 7 uploaded. So the counter indicators are doing fine.

I’m using a Sony Xperia 1 II with Android 11.

Can this please be fixed in an upcoming update?
This is the main reason I got Plex Pass, and it doesn’t seem to work well.

Also, I noticed my phone draining the battery much faster while its uploading (on WiFi and also on Mobile Data, tried both) and the phone becomes unusually warm/hot, something I haven’t experienced before on this phone (not even playing “high end” games on it).

It has almost been two weeks. Can anyone from Plex respond please? This feature is the main reason I got Plex Pass, and it isn’t working.

Any update on this? It’s still only uploading videos, no photos. Anybody from Plex crew can comment on this?

Any update on this? It even got worse as the Camera Roll feature of the app cannot find any photos or videos, so it thinks there is nothing to upload now. Can’t you just give us a setting in the app where we tell Plex where to look for the photos and videos to upload?
