Bug in Plex for Android App - it is not showing Live TV & DVR for multiple Plex Servers

I have two Plex Media Servers, one in Missouri and one in New York. I have a Plex Pass and both servers have LiveTV & DVR setup and working correctly. Both Plex Media Servers are running the latest build (1.15.8.1163) which was just released.

I am able to view and control the options for LiveTV & DVR on both Plex Media Servers.

I can us the Plex Media Player in Windows and in a browser and switch between my servers fine with LiveTV.

I also have 2 LG TVs with the Plex App on LG Web OS. I can confirm that these TVs show LiveTV & DVR options from both of my Plex Media Servers as well.

I also have two FireTV devices and can view the LiveTV & DVR options on both servers.

On any of my Android Apps, including the nVidia Shield TV box, I can only see the LiveTV & DVR options for the Plex Media Server in New York. I have no way to swtich over to the LiveTV & DVR options in Missouri.

While updates to the Plex for Andoid app keeps coming out fairly frequently, this issue remains.

I would like to be able to view LiveTV in the Plex for Android app from both of my Plex Media Servers, so I hope that someone from Plex sees this and begins working on a fix or provide some instructions as to how to resolve the issue.

After getting updates for both Plex Media Servers and the Plex for Android app, the issue remains.

Plex Media Server is now running Version 1.16.0.1226
The Plex for Android App is now running Version 7.17.0.10904

As it stands right now, when I launch the Plex for Android app, I get Live TV & DVR for the PMS in New York with no way to switch to the PMS in Missouri. This is the same for the Plex for Android app on my NVidia Shield TV box.

If I quit the PMS in NY (close out the application), then restart the Android app, I have access to the Live TV & DVR for the PMS in Missouri.

Switching Live TV & DVR options between both servers are still working in the Browser app, Plex Media Player for Windows app & my LG TVs.

Exactly the same issue here - did you find a permanent resolution?

Sounds a lot like my issue. I have PMS on Windows 10 PC and NVidia Shield. I can use he web app to schedule recordings on either. When I launch Plex on the Shield, I can see the Live TV tab across the top flash, then disappear. If PMS is not running on the PC, then Live TV tab shows on Shield. The Shield is my main DVR and that works fine, so no problems with Shield accessing the tuner…

I updated both of my Plex Media Servers to 1.16.1.1273 which was released on June 24, 2019 and the issue appears to be resolved now.

1.16.1 finally showed as an update for me on the Shield, It is installed and does seem to be working now.

Yes but now the guide in Live TV is broken - I was told that Plex is aware of the problem and working on a fix.

Hi,

I have PMS Version 1.16.1.1291 and Windows 10 APP 3.2.20-25990c77 and the Live TV/Guide option does not show.

It shows if use the web browser.

Any help on what else can I do?

When you say that the Live TV/Guide does not show, do you mean in the Windows 10 app from the Microsoft Store or the Plex Media Player for Windows?

Windows 10 App from the Store. I thought they were the same.

I just downloaded and installed the Plex Media Player for Windows and works as expected.
