Running 1.5.5.3634 on a linux host and found what appears to be a bug in the search function.
If you enter a proper title string that contains an apostrophe (’), it will not return matching titles. Leave the apostrophe out, and the matches are fine. Example:
She’s Out of My League -> No matches
Shes Out of My League -> Matches: She’s Out of My League
Is this correct behavior?
it is fixed in 1.6 and further. see release notes here https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1426697/#Comment_1426697
I do not have an ETA on when that will be make public
Good to know. Thanks for the update!
It isn’t really an issue for me at this point as I’m loading media (and using the search function to double-check that a disc isn’t already in the library before I pass it through my ripping machine). I check every hundred discs or so to see if there are duplicates (which there always are - almost always because Plex did something odd with matching the filename to a title). For now, I’ll just skip the punctuation.
