The search within Plex is okish but one thing really annoys me.
Say I have stuff that has the word can’t in the title, I type “cant” in the search, nothing comes up. Same as with wont/won’t. Anything really with an apostrophe for that matter. Its literally the only search engine that I know of that splits these up. Surely this isn’t deliberate?
I know its something small but to me, it makes the actual search feature redundant if its going to do that due to false results.
Hi, I’m Having the same problems as kwesleyb Members, Plex Pass Posts: 29 Plex Pass March 26, above. Looking for a sollution. When I cut and paste a movie title with an Apostrophe in it, I get a nothing. If I remove the apostrophe from the title, I just pasted, Plex finds the movie. In fact, I can omit the apostrophe or insert any character except an apostrophe and it will find the movie without any problem. Strangely, If I type the movie title, a list below will come up with my movie as one of the choises, but not when I cut and paste it and it has and apostrophe in the title.
This is already fixed in the Plex Pass version of the server.
It will be fixed for all users when the next ‘public’ server version gets released.
