Have noticed this issue for a few weeks now, but after adding the new Avatar series it has happened once again. I mislabelled the live-action show so Plex thought it was the cartoon and said the files were duplicated. I then fixed it and now the live-action show, which has been on the server for one second, is marked as watched. However the first eight episodes of the cartoon are now marked as unwatched. But I can still click on “Activity by You” and it says I watched each episode last year.
Why has this happened, and how can I undo it, for both items? Is there a way to reset the watch status to match the activity status? I’d rather not have mismatched watch dates and inaccurate logs for no reason.
This has also happened when parody porn movies are mismatched as the movie they’re spoofing. Two parody movies I have not watched are marked as watched, with no activity. And the corresponding “real” movies I have watched are marked as unwatched, with Activity by You saying I watched them years ago.
Any ideas? Can’t always guarantee an item will be matched correctly first go.
