Watch one item in collection and all items marked as read?

Is this a known issue? I’ve re-scanned my library and refreshed metadata - thoughts?

No, I don’t think there’s a known issue, nor did I experience this.

Would you mind sharing in which Plex app you’re experiencing this (platform, version)?
Scanning files and refreshing metadata won’t touch an item’s watch state, so I’m pretty positive this will do nothing for you.

Oh - one other thing to note ….. Plex mistakenly matched multiple files to one video, which I had to unmatch and split.

If you split the files without unmatching them beforehand, thy all still have the same “identitiy”.
If you subsequently add all those files into the same collection, indeed watching one of them will mark all of them as watched.

Inspect the Plex media info XML of all affected members of that collection.
The first occuring guid="... XML property must be different between those files. If it’s the same, then thse file have the same identity in your Plex server’s database.
