Bug introduced to FireTV app since last update

Since the last update of the Fire TV Plex app, my FireTV gen 2 often starts movies when I use the Fire TV remote to navigate the Plex app (change to library, go to some Movie content page, click on something in the On Deck view). These movies are either something that I already had been seen before or I have never been seen before, but the same movie is started at more than one occasion.

  • Restarting Plex App doe not fix it
  • Restarting Fire TV does not fit it

While I do have an Amazon Echo operating here, the Plex skill is not installed (not available in German), so no voice interaction is taking place.

It looks like the “let Plex start movies from remote” update is not yet properly implemented. This is going on my nerves.

This is getting annoying, and I also noticed that since the last update, when I stop playing an episode, it seems to partially crash and go back to the home plex menu instead of the episode or movie. Something is broken since the last update, plex and fire tv box.
