In PMP < 2.0 I could use Shift+ to jump to a letter in a library. It seems to be missing in PMP >= 2.0. I’m currently running PMP 2.1.0.
Instead, I need to press the arrows and go to the right, scroll down to S, and then hit enter…where before I could just press Shift+S to jump.

Having the same issue both with Plex Media Player 3.0.0.24-ff3794e40 and Plex Media Player 2.47.0.1035-e74d341b.
Mac Mini (macOS Mojave) with Plex Media Server Version 1.18.3.2156-349e9837e.
I just came to the forum to search for help on this too. I’m at the tail end of writing an script to interface a tivo remote to plex (via my system processor) and I was trying to implement this but it doesn’t work. Not a huge deal to me (though it would be nice) but the documentation lists it as a feature so either it needs to be fixed or it needs to be removed from the documentation.
