Using Plex 1.15.6.1079, the same show is being recorded multiple times, at the exact same time, from the same channel.
The duplicates actually happen. I end up getting multiple TS files added to my library.

Seems that it’s only happening for “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood”. Deleting the recording schedule and re-creating it results int he same issue.
Anyone have any thoughts as to what’s happening here?

But a little disappointing that no one from Plex has stepped in to get more information.
I have this problem with pretty much every public television show I record. I usually end up with only one actual recording from the, sometimes, 4-8 that look like are recording. But, I will also see the same show, on PBS, being re-recorded multiple times over the week.
The latter issue is a different problem. The former just clutters up my recording calendar and looks weird. It seems the small bugs keep getting pushed back in favor of big feature releases. That is actually counter intuitive to how to manage any platform. Fix the small stuff before you move on and just create more problems.
It is happening to me too. Spongebob is the culprit though.
Just wanted to bump this thread since it’s still a problem with Plex server version 1.16.6.1592 on Windows. Multiple recordings of the same episode or movie simultaneously record on different tuners at the same time. My setup includes two HDHomeRun’s with a total of six tuners. It doesn’t appear to be tied to a particular show or channel.
I have this problem also, I think its the DVR guide thats causing the issue, when you seach this appears to come up multiple times for the same show
Having the same issue still on PMS version 1.18.2.2058 with multiple shows. Tried deleting and recreating everything… still same problem… This is ridiculous. Why is this happening?
I too see the same show being recorded at the same time using at least two tuners as well.
Running Win 10 x64, Plex Version 1.18.6.2368, with 2 HDHR Connects, a HDHR Tech, and a Hauppauge Digital TV for Xbox One. So a total of 7 tuners using OTA reception.
I have my shows padded for 1 minute both before and after. More than 90% of the time there is not a conflict, but once in a while something won’t get get recorded. I have refreshed the guide data, removed and reinstalled the tuners and drivers, and removed and rebuilt my scheduled recordings as well. Yet the problem still persists.
Has there been any progress or a work around with this yet?
same issue here. 2 hdhomerun devices (2 tuners each, 4 max concurrent recordings) it shows recording a show twice. only one recording saved (1 file). due to this, half of my shows do not record. switched to plex jan 2020 due to win7 mce saying it is no longer supported. plex version 1.18.6.2368.
I have yet to get the plex dvr working as well as my 6+ year old MCE setup. half the shows dont record or are too blippy to watch even when the same channel recorded the previous show perfectly. super frustrating.
