[BUG] Music > Match artist Guns N' Roses (can't be picked - just refreshes the page)

It seams like the new music agent can’t match the artist Guns N' Roses. It is visible/pickable in the result list. When you select the correct Guns N' Roses (US), the window just closes and the page still shows the Match menu options. Which I guess would mean, that the artist is unmatched.

The album have the correct ID3 tags (including MusicBrain tags). I have tried with different ticks in the artist name, but it doesn’t make any difference (did the Plex dance every time).

I have tried with the Last FM agent, which can be picked - but it has very limited data.

If I try to match (with Plex Music agent) this album from 2018, the results only contains albums from 1987, even tho - the album exists in musicbrains … and is defined in the ID3 tags?

I had Guns N’ Roses previously match (before the new music agent), but the new album couldn’t be matched. So i had to remove the artist folder completely (and Empty trash).

Folder structure:
\music\g\{artist}\{artist} - {album} ({year})\{track} - {title}.ext

Watch the smart quote after the N. ’ vs ’ It’s a small difference, but it caught me out.

The challenge isn’t searching the artist, but selecting an match in artist(s) search results Guns N’Roses - Los Angeles, United States, 1985. Clicking this match doesn’t change anything (only the cover image) and still shows Match... in the menu options - which means, that the artist isn’t matched at all. I intentionally ensured, that the tick is the normal one.

UPDATE: No matter which artist you select in the search result, same thing hapens…

I just removed my Music library and re-created it, since the new music agent can’t handle most Various Artists compilations (i.e. Danish). So I made a Music (with known artists) and a separate Music \ VA library for various artists.

This did actually solve the matching of Guns N' Roses, since this isn’t handled manually trough the artist match picker. So this must almost be a PlexWeb problem or a agent upgrade (the new menu option on the library) bug of some sorts (I guess).

(Yes, I know. I could add the missing compilations to Musicbrainz manually)
