Plex Music - No Unmatch option + Wrong match is forced - C'ect ci ne pas DJ FRESH

Server Version#: 1.31.3.6819-2ef591a4c
Player Version#: 1.66.1.3632-4d9c7716

Hi,

I am trying to manage a track I bought from here https://www.beatsource.com/track/32/8401547. As you can see from the source, Artist: Fresh, Title: +32, Album: 32.
Whatever I set in the properties of the track.

Plex insists it’s a “Dj Fresh” , and I get greeted with his smug face every time. It;s like he knows!

There is also no “Unmatch” option available.

Matching in a different language, French, is also not working.
The track is in the correct folder/file structure. Artist folder > Album Folder > Track.
I did multiple plex dances already plus one physical plex dance for good luck before trying.

This is how the track looks after.

Music Library settings:

Any help would be very appreciated. Have a nice monday.

Thanks

Does it appear in this list? Search Results - MusicBrainz

Hai Otto,
I am not sure, I don’t think so, the track came out last week though .
To be fair if it WAS on musicbrainz, I would not know for sure.
Searching for the track name “+32” returns everything of course.
That being said, searching for ICB records, the label does not return any results, so no?

I was actually referring to the artist. With the mass of artists, groups, and whatnot all calling themselves “Fresh”, it is no wonder that Plex is getting it wrong. So it needs a hint which of those dozens it actually is.

But even if the artist is not listed on MB, you can at least change the photo.
Just put a jpg file with the right face into the “Artist” folder and name it artist-poster.jpg

Hey Otto,
Ha, the artist seems to be listed on musicbrainz: Fresh - MusicBrainz

But the specific release is not.

Regards,

You can at least match the artist manually then, go to the artist and Fix Match → Search Options, then paste 72f7c8ea-2ebd-43b7-a4c0-98f7f68a3509 (the Musicbrainz id) into the title field.

That should bring up the artist to select, like so:

Hi,
Nice! That worked out nicely, I had no idea I could use the musicbrainz ID to force it to match to a particular artist.
I just had to add the correct album art because trying to match the track did not bring up anything relevant. I guess this is because the track/release/single whatever you want to call it is not on the mb website? Can I add entries to mb websites myself?

Regards and thanks again for all the help @drzoidberg33 and @OttoKerner

Yes! That’s the whole idea behind Musicbrainz, the content is community powered.
