In the regular Plex application (I use Windows, Android phone, Android TV/shield & Panasonic TV), if I open an “album collection” which is sorted randomly and I play the first album, it will queue all albums in the displayed (random) order.
When I do the same in PlexAmp, instead of queueing the album collection in the displayed, it queues all albums by the same artist instead.
This makes it impossible to queue a selection of albums (“collection”) in a random order (but not shuffled).
Also this behaviour is unexpected, both from a blank POV, as when used to using the regular Plex application for playback.
I only use Plexamp on my Android phone, but noticed the windows version behaves the same. I think this unexpected behaviour of Plexamp will happen on all platforms.
Yes, if I play the collection, instead of playing the albums in the (Random) order they are displayed, it plays/queues the individual tracks of all the album randomly. (Instead of playing the random sorted albums completely, before going to the next album in the random sorting.)
But this behaviour does match with the regular Plex. Personally I think it’s a bit unexpected too, I would only expect the individual tracks played random/shuffled when using the shuffle button. But that’s not a big deal once you know this.
