[BUG] Plex doesn't auto play next episode on Android TV devices anymore

Server Version#: 1.31.2.6810 (Windows)
Player Version#: 9.19.0.177 (Google TV)

I have 3 different Google TV devices and since the most recent update, we have lost the ability to auto play the next episode when watching TV shows. This also seems to be an increasing issue with all Android TV devices such as the nVidia Shield as well according to Reddit: Reddit - Dive into anything

Hopefully this can get looked into and corrected.

I’m finding the same,
Will not auto play on Apple Tv either

Hi,

same here! But as I’ve learned from the couple of Years using Plex, that the ones responsible don’t care about the bugs at all… you don’t even get an answer from them. The new version 9.19.1 should have the autoplay fixed. How come that this feature was not tested??

Hello, I have the same issue on my Plex for Android TV. The desktop version still autoplays the next video, but on TV it does not ever since the recent update. Hope this gets looked into. Even with autoplay set to “ON” on the client, it does not autoplay. My host device is an Android TV box in case you need to know. Thank you.

Same issue here, with 3 different Chromecast with Google Tv at home. Since the last update. Please fix this. thanks

This was supposedly fixed in 9.19.1, so make sure you’re on that version:

Player: ensure auto play is advancing to the next episode.

If it’s not fixed for you in 9.19.1 you’ll probably need to post logs for them to look at.

Yeah the 9.19.1 player update appeared to resolve it for me
