Player Version#: Plexamp / Plex
When rating an individual track plex is now rating each track in the album to whatever the rating is set to for the individual track. This is happening on plexamp / plex clients so I assume this is a server side issue.

I can’t reproduce this yet. What version numbers of those apps are you using.
Your GIF does not look like a current app. On current versions os Web and Plex desktop the stars are hidden until you hover over them. I see you tagged this with plex-media-player which is a really old app we have not updated in a number of years
The screenshot is using the latest plex client on windows. the tag is incorrect
I have also reproduced the issue on plexamp newest ios, mac, and windows

Is this being acknowledged as a bug yet? I’m always rating tracks to curate my music with smart playlists. This makes the application pretty unusable to me as I mainly use plex for streaming my music library.
I’ve been having multiple people try thing and no one can reproduce it yet.
Which agent are you using for your music library?
so for some reason it seems like this is only happening with this album… any ideas on why that can be? I have tried other records and the issue does not happen don’t know what other albums in my music collection would have the same issues?
that is a sub agent f the old LastFM or personal media artist main agent. Any reason you are not using the new “Plex Music” agent ( you can still set it to prefer local metadata)
I can’t think of any reason on the top of my head. What type of files are those tracks? If it is just that one album maybe do the plex dance on just that one to hopefully clear any thing bad in the database.
Ok so i seem to know how to make the bug appear.
If the tracks numbers in the metadata are labeled as they are on a vinyl record say
A1, A2, B1,B2 etc… when doing a plex scan they are not seen as the same album and each track is added individually. When I had added this had happened and i merged the tracks into one album. So when i was rating it was rating them all together. I don’t know if this is expected behavior or not.
Anyways i removed the album from plex. changed the track numbers to 1,2,3,4, etc… and now the albums are rating properly.
