[Bug] Plex Web: List view does not update when collections are shown in the library

Server Version#: Version 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#: Version 4.49.2

If collections are shown within the library and there is a collection with the sort title changed so the collection is sorted to the very top of the library, when using list view, adding and removing columns does not update the table.

Note: Collections sorted anywhere else in the library (in the middle or to the bottom) do not cause this bug in List View.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Any library with Collections set to “Hide itms” or “Show items” so that collections are shown in the Library view. [Screenshot]
  2. Create a collection and change the Sort Title so that it will be sorted to the top of the library list (e.g. 00 Test or !Test). [Screenshot]
  3. Change the library to “List View”. [Screenshot]
  4. Add or remove columns from the list view. [Screenshot]
  5. The table header is updated with the selected columns, but the table contents are not refreshed.

I can reproduce this as well. I noticed something else: If ‘Critic Rating’ happens to be one of the active columns, as soon as the collection is moved to the top of the list, the contents of the Critic Rating column disappear, and the remaining columns are misaligned.

Thanks for the report. We’re tracking this issue internally.

I can confirm that this issue happens without having any collections at all and noticed it while managing an Other Videos type of library. I have opted to avoid collections on my other Movie and TV Show type of libraries and haven’t had any issues with them so far.

My steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new Other Videos library
  2. Add the folder containing existing videos
  3. Change column settings (if applicable)

I’ve tried creating a new Other Videos type of library a few different ways, once with collections disabled and once with the default setting of show items and their collections, just in case it’s related to collection settings, with the same outcome each time.

And just in case it helps, the videos that I used can be found here.

I made a post about this issue as well. It only occurs in my “Other Videos” type libraries, not my Movie or TV libraries. I also have no Collections, so that’s not contributing to my issue.

I also have the same problem. It only occurs in my “Other Videos” type libraries.

The list view is a known issue. It will be solved when the library view will be updated to a newer version, currently in development.

Is there any kind of ETA for this new library view? Are we looking at like, next month. Or is this months and months away? It’s a very frustrating issue to deal with, particularly since it worked flawlessly for years. And now it’s been broken for months.
