Just want to note that I tried deleting the codecs but it didn’t change anything. There appears to be some sort of memory leak when I attempt to optimize a title with TrueHD audio. The reads of my cache drive start skyrocketing and my RAM usage steadily increases without any sign of stopping.
Thanks! I was having the same issue and this just worked for me. I guess we’ll see how long it continues to work. Hopefully this isn’t something that needs to be done a couple times a week for who knows how long…
Ok all I finally resolved my issue. Turns out it was a specific docker (miniDLNA) that was causing the issue. I didnt realise it but it was monitoring the plex app data folder.
I dont know why but the trueHD codec was the only codec cauing issues.
Removing the docker got it working again two weeks multiple updates and restarts without issue.
So look for any docker or app that my be interfering with the plex data folder and try disabling it.
I have this problem again with the latest PMS. Before I could watch movies with TRUEHD audio fine on the Plex App on the AppleTV4k, not it just hangs. I tried rebooting the server machine, the AppleTV without luck.
Does anyone else see this problem?
