Bug: Recorded shows not added to library due to inconsistent series name.

The latest example is with The Twilight Zone. This was a new series for the library so Plex automatically created the series and season folders. Here’s how Plex named the series folder and episode file.

The Twilight Zone \ Season 02 \ The Twilight Zone (1959) - S02E08 - The Lateness of the Hour.ts

Manually refreshing the library does not pick up the series or episode unless I either add the year to the series folder name or remove the year from the episode file name. Once those two match a library refresh picks them up without issue.

Will adding the year to the folder name resolve the issue permanently or will Plex just create a new folder without the year?

Just looked further, if I go to episode view, it shows up:

@wi11wright Can you post full logs from after this happens? Settings/Server/Help click the Download Logs link and upload the zip file. Please ensure debug logging is turned on in settings and that Allow Plex tokens in logs is turned off.

I have also setup a recording on one of my test servers for the Twilight Zone to see what the show looks like after recording on my server. Have never seen the year be included in the Episode name part but not in the show folder.

My recording from last night has the correct naming convention for the file.

Same for me. I hadn’t thought to look directly at the episode view but all the episodes appear to be there. In some cases I even see duplicates if the “missing” episode has re-aired.

@wi11wright Are you still having this issue? I see that @sa2000 posted on your other thread regarding the recordings going into the root of the drive instead of in a folder, R:\Man With a Plan versus R:\TV\Man With a Plan. My other question in regards to this show is it appears from the log that it took almost 12 minutes from the recording ending to the file being moved from the grab folder to the library. Are you doing any post processing on the file other than what Plex is doing?
