I watched the last episode in a TV series, when the episode was over I long pressed the show which bring up the menu with an option to delete it. After I deleted the show and pressed the back button it returns me to all the TV shows. This is where is the issue, the show is still showing as 1 episode (1 being in the upper right corner). There are no more shows. If you press enter the series shows an error. I have encountered this error a few times now when I removed the last show in a series.
The issue is it’s not refreshing the TV show screen when you leave the series. If I slide over to the left bar and select Movies and then slide back to TV Shows the screen is properly refreshed and the TV show is no longer in the menu since it’s empty.
I use a nVidia Shield Pro as my client. Server is on Win 10.
The shield has nasty caching errors, I’ve noticed. When you finish watching an episode and return to the episode list, it won’t often mark the previous episode as completed (as it is) until you reload the page.
If Plex cares about this enough to fix your issue, I hope they work on all of the Shield as well.
I think it’s more of a bug where they need to check after a delete if the series is empty it needs to force a refresh of the screen when you exit the series. It’s true the way you say it, it’s in the cache but they can easily fix that.
Ok, cache might be the wrong term. More that after doing an action on the shield, Plex returns to the appropriate menu (such as the tv show list) after deleting an item, but it fails to fetch a new view of this page to reflect the new change made by the command that sent it to this page. Which requires a refresh (in your case, navigating to another library and back. in mine, navigating to another season and back).
I just deleted the last episode using the web interface on Windows. It works perfectly because once you delete the last episode in the series the web version kicks you back to the main menu and refreshed the entire screen.
It’s pretty obvious they must have fixed it on that platform but not Android.
