Bug Report: Anamorphic Blu-Ray Not Displaying Correctly

Player Version#: 4.143.0
Currently, I’m trying to play a 1080p anamorphic Blu-Ray copy of a show using Plex Web, and it incorrectly stretches the height of the video. I’ve only been able to reproduce this problem on Firefox, with Chrome (as well as the Plex for Windows app and the HTPC app) adjusting the file correctly.

Anamorphic 1080p content is very rare. I wonder if there isn’t something else abnormal in the file.
Have you confirmed if the playback of this particularl file is happening with video transcoding, or direct? https://support.plex.tv/articles/200871837-status-and-dashboard/

The picture resolution is 1920x1080 pixels. That is no anamorphic picture. These are square pixels. This file has been incorrectly ripped/encoded.

Plus the video is transported as-is to the browser (Direct Stream). So it is the browser which is to blame to be confused by the incorrectly set “anamorphic” tag. A strong hint of this is that only Firefox is affected – even though Chrome is running the exact same app.
