[Bug Report] Extra Header margin added when resuming

Device: Pixel 4a, Android 11
Plexamp: v3.3.2

I noticed that sometimes after opening Plexamp that there is an extra header bar sized padding at the top.

I managed to capture this in proximity to the bug occuring using the bug reporting feature. I can supply the logs if needed.

Hmm, not sure the logs would indicate the issue. Any chance for a screenshot?

Have noticed this as well.

huh weird. out of curiosity, does switching themes in plexamp settings fix? for some reason your status bar isn’t becoming translucent.

It’s translucent in the second screenshot, which was after I exited the app and dismissed it from the background then re-opened.

Later it went back to having the gap after I’d stopped and restarted music a few times. Changing the theme to light and back to dark fixed it (for now). Will see if it stays that way.

Hey Elan,

I believe this comes up when Plexamp is resumed from the notification after exiting Plexa.p from a notification.

Eg:

  • Be on now playing screen
  • tap notification for a text
  • Tap now playing notification for Plexamp
  • Close the now playing screen

Hmm, I tried that sequence a few times and couldn’t reproduce

I have not re-experienced this issue since the day I previously posted in this thread. The only thing I did was change the theme to light and back to dark again and it hasn’t happened again (after having happened on and off fairly often previously).

i’m sure it’s an issue, i’m just not sure how to reproduce

if anyone figures it out, let us know. i thought it might have something to do with rotation, but i played around a bit tonight and couldn’t make it happen.

Hey Elan, are you trying to repro on Android 11?

I think this has to do with the Android animation for resuming an app.

I realized that any time I resume Plexamp, and Plexamp is in my Recents there is some small probability for this to happen.

I think if you resumed Plexamp from the background (not a cold start) enough times you could trigger this.

it should be fixed in the next release, i discovered that repro too
