This happens on any device using Plex for Android as far as I know. I’ve tested it on Android mobile and Android TV (Nvidia Shield).

After selecting a show from a library and clicking the play button, the first unplayed episode from the full list of episodes is played. This is different from the behavior of Plex for Windows, Plex Media Player, and Plex Web. In those apps, it will select the next “On Deck” episode going by air date, even if the show has never been played.
This is a very annoying problem for people that have many shows with specials. The play button will always select the first unplayed special regardless of the air date, essentially making the button useless if you want to watch the series + specials in order. This is most annoying when I want to pick a new show to watch in my library because I don’t have the option to select it from “On Deck” on the home page. If the series contains specials, I have to manually find the correct episode to watch. Sometimes that’s a special and sometimes it’s S01E01.
I believe the expected behavior for this is exactly how it works on Windows and Web. The play button on the show’s page should play the next episode On Deck.
