[BUG REPORT] Subtitle styling defined in SRT file is not working anymore after latest update

Player Version#: 9.23.0.1746 (80d0211)

After the latest player update today, the subtitle styling included in the external SRT subtitles such as font color, italics, etc., is not working anymore. The player now always overrides the included subtitle styling with the player settings, no matter whether the option is on or off. For ASS subtitles internal styling is still working, but not for SRT. It worked perfectly well until v.9.21).

Could you please fix it? Thanks.

Could you also enable the possibility of disabling the new “move subtitles to top position when UI is visible” feature? I think it also messes up with the subtitle position defined in the external subtitles.

I have the same problem on Android TV.

After player update 9.25.0.2374 (a382b5b) the issue persists: PLEX always overides SUBRIP (SRT) formatting tags: no italics, bold, colors… It always uses the PLEX player settings.

Could you please fix this?

Thank you, BigWheel. This is an example. Unless I force transcoding (or harcoded subtitles) PLEX always overides SRT formatting tags and always uses the PLEX player settings. It didn’t happened before v.9.21 and the new "move subtitles to top position when UI is visible” feature.
