[BUG] Roku Player Drops Occasional Subtitle

Roku player will occasional not display a subtitle.

Most subtitles show up correctly. Mac and PC players show subtitles 100% correctly from the same server/file. It SEEMS that it will drop the subtitle when the time gap to the next subtitle is long (e.g. 20min).

Additional info: file = mp4, type = mov_text, added using ffmpeg to merge streams.

Updated to Roku ver 6.8.8 (server 1.24.0). This defect still exists.

  • defect does not happen in Win10, MacOS, and iOS players.
  • Roku player always drops last subtitle in a series before a large time gap with no subtitles.

Ver 6.9.4 still has this defect.
