[BUG] Shows two subtitles at the same time

I have this show with two subtitles, one SRT subtitle and one ASS subtitle. I set Chinese first, so the default choice is ASS subtitle, which is my Chinese-English subtitle, the one at the bottom of the screen, but I don’t know why the top of the screen shows that SRT subtitle at the same time.

When I manually selected the SRT subtitles, nothing changed. When I set the subtitles to none, the ASS subtitles at the bottom disappeared, but the SRT subtitles at the top were still there.

The only way I can get rid of the SRT subtitles at the top and show only the subtitles at the bottom is to repeat the subtitle selection multiple times.

Some other people have also reported the same situation, I think this should be a bug, please fix it.

Are you certain the subtitles at the top are not burned into the video? It’s fairly unusual to have SRT subtitles at the top of the video. Otherwise, this will require application logs to diagnose further: https://support.plex.tv/articles/windows-mac-app-logs/

Yes, I’m sure the subtitles are not burned into the video, because I can turn off the top ones by manually selecting.

This happened on a part of the episodes, and since I turned off the top subtitles all by manual adjustment, I can’t reproduce the situation with subtitles at the top now, the logs have been overwritten so I can’t provide the logs when the bug happened, if it happens again I can provide the logs.

What I’m sure is that the bug caused two subtitles to be displayed on the screen at the same time, one at the top and one at the bottom. By manually selecting the subtitles several times, you can turn off the top one, the situation only happens on some videos.

The bottom subtitles are the regular subtitles, which can be switched on and off properly, and the top ones can’t be called back after they are off.
