[BUG] UI Plex for Android 9.0.0.31604-beta

  1. With the new beta scrolling thru content on the Home Screen isn’t as smooth as it was on the latest stable release.

Did a clearcache, force stop just to be sure. But it’s stuttering a bit compared to stable 8.31.2.31546. (Animation seems off)

Tried filming it, but on video it’s a bit difficult to see, can sent video if needed.

  1. Clicking on a movie , loading the cover art results in a temp grey rectangle and after a sec of 2 the cover art appears.

I reinstall a older version to compare , yup a plex change… Apparently the layout is changed, end results is slower loading cover art, this was before a “background” image. New style is a cover art image on the left side.

@romancamelia can you confirm this issue is read by any dev?

I can repro the second issue, and even though it doesn’t seem new, I agree the color showing until the cover art appears should be tweaked.
Regarding the first issue, can you tell me which device are you using?

Shield android TV, Sony Android TV . What do you need to examine this performance bug. Too simplify the issue. Seems like a “animation” thing.

Any ETA on when android app’s UI will be similar to ios or android tv?
