[BUG] Watching Live TV skips to beginning of session at EPG interval top of the hour and 1/2 hour

I have TV running in the background when I am working and a recent bug has happened a few versions back where watching live TV, it will skip back to the beginning of the session and the top of the hour or 1/2 hour mark in plex web…

This issue appears to be inline with the TV schedule… annoying when something doesn’t end or start on time because of something like a live football game in OT causing the show airing to be off from the EPG schedule. I tested with watching a movie that was over an hour long and there was no issue. DVR recording doesn’t have issues (as long as it matches the EPG schedule).

Note - watch live by selecting a show in the guide or watching live tv by selecting the channel in the guide both result in the issue of the show jumping back to the beginning of the live tv session at the EPG show markers typically at the top and 1/2 hours.

I’ve had this happen when watching Live TV with football games and just thought it was my cheap antenna and/or my local station broadcast. But if it’s happening to someone else :thinking:.

There is an issue when Plex is handing off the EPG when the next show starts. I replicated the issue using dizqueTV to make a PsuedoTV M3u Tunner with music videos… resulting in replicating the inital issue that is experienced for Live TV. It loops the session instead of handing off to the next show. The stream plays fine if I play it in VLC.

This is happening to me as well. I have an HD Homerun Prime and Plex on Windows.

Issue is present with the update from earlier today. It loops back to where the session started when the next show is suppose to start when watching Live TV. DVR appears to be fine, but the recording is suppose to end when the show is over, so it’s expected behavior.

Please Plex team take a look at the Live TV issues. This has been going on for quite some time now.

Question: I noticed this issue is when watching streams from the browser, so the web player. When I played Live TV on my shield, it transition correctly to the next show. Are other experiencing this issue in only the web player?
