Roku Live TV Rewinding Jumps to Beginning of Session

Whenever I watch Live TV on my Roku Plex app, and I decide to rewind to see something I missed, when I hit play, it jumps to the very beginning of the session. To the point at which I started watching that channel.

I can then fast forward to find my spot, but sometimes the beginning of the session is a long time back. So then I end up jumping all over to find my spot.

Any ideas? Happens on two Roku Ultra’s, Roku Stick, and two TCL Roku TV’s.

I’ve noticed that this skip occurs at the 1/2 hour marks… as if they session is controlled by the EPG guide. Watching live TV lately has been a no go if I use PLEX, but at least the DVR is working and I can get my Svengoolie.com recorded.

I have a similar issue. When I have two recordings back to back on the same station, if I switch to the station during the second recording it will ask me if I want to watch from the beginning of the recording or Live. When I say Live it doesn’t switch to Live TV but goes to the beginning of the first recorded show.

More info: The Equalizer on Sunday night is giving me these fits. And it was the ONLY thing recording that night.

I am going to find the logs and see what tuner recorded both that and The Blacklist. Maybe this is a tuner issue? Who knows.
