this is my view from the admin user :
and this is the view for my home users :
in my smart collection, i use the following settings :
advanced filters → tv shows → by Last Episode Date Added
match all of the following -->episode air date → is in the last → 4 months
i discovered that if i change my smart collection from :
advanced filters → tv shows → by Last Episode Date Added
to :
advanced filters → tv shows → Date added
i have the exact same thing that my user’s home view. does it means the wrong filter is applied for my home users ?

This is a very annoying bug.
I would love to use this sorting method to create my own home screen categories for TV shows. The way the recentely added in TV Shows represents it’s content is also a hot topic, and I for one don’t like the way it works by default. Using a smart collection, sorting by last episode date added allows you to customize the list exactly the way I would like it, and I know a lot of other people on this forum too would agree.
I can’t imagine this would be a difficult fix to implement, and it would take care of two issues that have been raised in these forums and not been addressed, (albeit, the other issue is not a bug, just not a well liked implementation of functionality, imo).
Come on plex devs… Pretty please!

As far As I can see this shows as fixed in server 1.41.0.8911 Is your server updated?
- (Library) In some cases library items were not properly sorted (PM-1729)

Collection sorting appears to be fixed for me on Plex Media Server 1.41.0.8911.
@BigWheel unfortunately, i still have the problem in my side, even with the latest update (1.41.0.8992)
it looks like the order is not as random that before, but it’s still not in the same order.
example :
this is my view with my user (admin user) :

i also compared with an external user which i shared my libraries with, and this is the same view that my home users, so only my admin user have not the same order that home and external users
This is wild. Is this just on every collection or is there only a certain sort order that this can be observed in?
i have this bug for the following smart collections :
the first smart collection is for each series library and it is for the newest episodes aired (in the last 4 months)
advanced filters → tv shows → by Last Episode Date Added
match all of the following -->episode air date → is in the last → 4 months
then the second smart collection is for each series library and it is for the last added episodes but are not aired recently (older than 4 months)
advanced filters → tv shows → by Last Episode Date Added
match all of the following -->episode air date → is not in the last → 4 months
