I wanted to raise an old issue that still exists but the ticket was closed out back in 2022.
It is outlined in detail here,
I am able to confirm there is a bug with smart collection sorting using the “Last Episode Date Added” when combined with advanced filters for shared users.
• This bug only occurs within a smart collection of shows (i.e. query parameters type=2&sort=episode.addedAt:desc). A smart collection of episodes is sorted correctly.
• There must be at least one advanced filter applied. The exact filter does not matter, and any filter will produce this bug.
• If a shared user goes into the library and recreates the exact same filters themselves, the sort order is correct.
I can still replicate this on the latest release. The sort order shows correctly in the preview but once you hit “Update Collection” the order is broken.
It’s another long-standing, neglected bug. I can confirm that the bug still exists. When sorting the TV library by ‘By Last Episode Date Added’ along with certain other filtering functions, it triggers sorting errors.
For example, filtering by country or genre causes incorrect sorting when using the ‘By Last Episode Date Added’ sorting. However, selecting other filters in combination with ‘By Last Episode Date Added’ or using ‘By Last Episode Date Added’ sorting alone displays the correct sorting. Please fix this bug.
This issue isn’t just confined to editing smart collection filter rules; it occurs when filtering the library as well.
