BUG: XMLTV EPG: Guide is duplicating shows and showing incorrect information

Server Version#: 1.29.1.6276
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun Dual
Guide/Lineup name: xmltv in Melbourne, Australia
Using XMLTV?: Yes
Channel number/Name: Multiple channels. Channel 1 (Channel 10) shown for purposes of this fault report

I recently reconfigured my DVR and now when I import the xml file the EPG program guide is not always correct. Sometimes shows are duplicated across incorrect times and shows are identified as showing that are not even listed in the xml as being on that channel. See the image below.

And this is the xml for the episode of The Living Room. The show Blue Blood isn’t even in the xml file as being shown on channel 1 (it is only on channel 12 in the xml

I see this on mobile and web.

Anyone else seeing weird guide data in Plex recently?

Bump. No one else is seeing those issue?

Make sure your XMLTV file is compliant with proper XMLTV standards.

Check XMLTVFormat - XMLTV

Everything has to be in a specific order for it to be compliant. If it’s not you must fix it.

To answer your question… no, I don’t have the issues you’re speaking of. I use schedulesdirect and zap2xml.pl web scraper.

I also have the same issue here. I’m using Xteve to combine a HDHomerun (XML via zap2XML and zap2it) and my custom TV channels from ErsatzTV. The XML output from Xteve looks fine and I have no issues using it in Emby, but in Plex it scrambles the whole program guide meaning Channel A shows programming for Channel B. It seems to be most effected when there are channels like 2.2 (Channel A) and 22.2 (Channel B). Mapping in Xteve is correct and the mapping is correct when I add the DVR to Plex.

The only thing I’m unsure about is whether the channels need to be listed in numerical order in the Xteve XML. I noticed that they are not, but again other DVR applications seem to be handling this just fine. There is no clear pattern to the scrambled guide data that would lead me to believe it’s being caused by the channel ordering in the xml file.
