Bugs and feature requests for Plexamp

Hi

First I just want to say that plexamp is now my main music player on all my devices. Thank you for a great app!

I couldn’t find an official thread for bugs or feature requests so I’ll post them here.

One bug (or is it a feature?) I found is that the screen remains on while using the app on my iPhone. I can understand why it would do that while having the app in the foreground but the problem (according to me) is that the lock screen stays lit forever when plexamp is running in the background.

Example: I have plexamp running on my iPhone and after I choose which album I want to play I turn off the screen and put my phone away. A short while later my phone gets a notification which turn on the lock screen. Normally the screen would go dark after xx seconds but when Plexamp is running it stays on much longer, maybe forever.

Am I correct in assuming that this is a bug? If not, is there a setting I’ve missed that allows me to turn it off?

Feature requests:
I often play “library radio” when I’m not completely sure which mood I’m in. Sometimes I skip way more song than I listen to. I usually do that by looking at the “up next” tab and choose a song I like. The problem with doing that on my iPhone is that I only have ten(?) tracks listed in the “up next” tab. I would be wonderful if I had the option to show more songs.

Another feature request I have is also related to the “up next” tab.
I would like to see that deleting tracks from “up next” should be easier. On iOS devices it could be done by simply swinping your finger all the way to the left (like you do when deleting emails etc.).
The same method could be done on the windows program I guess, but I would prefer if a small cross would appear to the right of the song title while hovering your mouse over the track.

And lastly, I can’t seem to rearrange tracks in the up next tab on windows. Or maybe I’m just dumb.

Bonus question:
I see several references to podcasts on Plexamp while browsing the forum but I can’t find any info about how it works. Does anyone have an informative link or explanation?

I believe it’s only when the phone is plugged in, and I further believe this next version helps that in that there is a preference to always/never keep the screen on in the player which seems to work around the issue.

Implemented in v3.2, just waiting for apple to approve.

Click and hold down, then drag.

Go into settings > sources > Podcasts

Thanks for the good reply!

That might be correct. Now when I think about it I have only noticed it while driving my car and then the phone is always charging. So not as bad as I first thought but I’m still looking forward to have an option to have it always on or not.

Awesome!

I see, it seems that I was to impatient and started to drag to early. It now works fine but if you ask me there’s really no need for us to be forced to click, hold and drag compared to just click and drag.

No biggie having to click and hold but personally I would like to see an option to eliminate the “hold” part.

Thanks, that got me on the right track. Will try it out more tomorrow.
