Having seen all the thread about the build of PMP for Linux I’m thinking of trying to build a version for Raspbian on the Pi.
Before I spend time figuring out how to do builds etc. is anyone aware of any immediate and obvious reason why this can’t be done?

Transcoding is impossible, the processor is just too slow.
That said - there is a build already. Take a look here.

I’m not wanting all the overhead of openelex and I don’t want the Pi dedicated PMP.
I just want a client that I can control from Plex installed on a phone tablet, that doesn’t keep stopping advertising itself like the web client does from Plex Server (which is installed on the Pi and works fine including transcoding).
