I know you can hookup like a tuner and antenna to plex to get OTA TV onto plex.
If I pay for cable and just want my cable package on my tablet while in bed or whatever, is there a way to do that?
Only for channels that are not encrypted and only with a QAM/digital tuner.
you will need a tuner than can take a CableCARD (something like the HDHomerun Prime) but before you do that, make sure you cable provider does not encrypt the channels because if so, there is nothing that can be done. Here in the Seattle area, Comcast only encrypts HBO etc.
I second the HDHomerun Prime with cable card. It works great. I get charged 5/month for the card. Much cheaper and more flexible than a cable box.

True. I did pay for lifetime. I have been using plex for a long time and have been glad to give them my money.
