I’ve had a look at the caldera headless prefs - there are no equaliser config options there. Plexamp headless offered a 10-band graphical EQ. The Caldera page suggests there is a parametric EQ available.
How to configure this, and is this really a parametric EQ or just a misnomer for a graphical one?

I’ve just found it.
There’s a new speaker icon in Plexamp with a settings/cog icon with a pre-amp and a 10-band GEQ. Also accessible from the new home/multi-room control.
It is parametric under the hood, just the UI for it doesn’t support adjusting Q.

Would you know what Q value is used, or whether it is proportional? That would allow us to better tune the curve.
Q is a fixed 1.41 per band (≈ 1 octave), not derived from frequency, but with octave-spaced centers it gives constant-Q behavior, so effective bandwidth in Hz is proportional to each band’s center frequency.
Does the equalizer set from Plexamp on an iPhone remain permanently activated on the Apple TV client, or does it only work when we start playback from that iPhone?
It’s a sink/speaker setting, so it should remain. Let me know if not.
That’s what I thought, but I was confused because when disconnecting Plexamp from Caldera on Apple TV and reconnecting again, it doesn’t show the previously set equalization.
can you show a screenshot of what you are describing? On the macos plexamp client i’m not finding the speaker icon.
You should see something similar in the Plexamp for macOS. From the top-right of the Home tab:
It’s the exact same path from there. This is on the Plexamp desktop app, version 4.13.2.
Oddly enough I no longer see the speaker icon, neither on iOS nor macOS. The icon was to the right of the volume bar.
